I should eat like this all of the time!
I spent the entire day in meetings with clients today. Me being the only peon in the entire group, also the only single one. I'm talking about being in meetings with high-level managers and a CFO that I have absolutely nothing in common with. So for lunch I was just going to hang out at my desk and get some production done while they were all at lunch. I was pulled aside by my boss as they were getting ready to head out and was told that I should really go to lunch with them. You can't really say no when your boss says you should go to lunch with clients (cause you know it's on the company's dime) so off I went.
When we get to the restaurant, the waitress comes out with this appetizer platter containing jumbo shrimp, lobster tails and a lobster salad thing. You should know that seafood is not something I eat. Ever. But, having tried lobster while in Boston last July, I knew it wasn't going to kill me, so I had a little. I gotta say, I could really get used to being fed like this on a daily basis.
And the main course? A succulent plate of tenderlion tips on fettucini. Mmm, mmm good!
I think I need to spend more time in meetings with clients!
