Yep, I'm one of em...

I am definitely a sci-fi geek. I just got back from the midnight showing of Serenity. It's the movie based on the series Firefly. Did I cheer when it started like the rest of the people in the theater? Not out loud, but I did in my head. I laughed out loud during the movie, I think I might have even yelled at the screen once with everyone else.

So I'm a geek, but not as big of one as some of the people there. The two to the left of me spent the 1/2 hour before the movie discussing the ins and outs of Harry Potter and some guy behind me was talking about Star Trek, Star Wars and Darth Vader being a nerd.

All in all, a most enjoyable night, and I have Blingo to thank for my movie ticket, so it didn't cost me a dime. Those are the best nights out!

Roeper and Ebert said that Serenity was what all of the new Star Wars movies SHOULD have been. I can't wait to see it, but Corpse Bride comes first!

I noticed on my Flickr account that you're a huge Galactica fan too! - Yep, I've got quite a bit of sci-fi geek in me, too!
